World Harmony Run 2005

Wow...woke up at 6am today to an ominous dark sky with thunders and lightnings...thank god it's not raining anymore...

Cycled to MacRitchie at abt 6.30am...there was already plenty of ppl there when I reached at abt 7am...got myself registered and deposited my bike and stuff with the organizers...then hanged ard waiting for the race to begin...I have a bad habit of not doing a proper warm before any exercise...but I usually start slow anyway ;)

Saw Sukaimi aka The Lonely Runner all ready to run his 30k...hehe...went over to talk to him and met some of his friends...oops...can't remember their names...jialat ;p

At abt 7.30am, the GOH, Eunice Olsen, ex-KentRidgean...woohoo...arrived, she gave a short speech, lit the touch, made a wish, passed on the touch to the first runner....and off we go!!!

We ran the usual x-country 4.8km route...I took abt half an hour to finish the run...forgot to time myself...so dunno wat's my exact timing..sighz..
Come to think of it...dun remember seeing the torch coming back...oh well...the torch din go thru the whole route as we din want to start a forest fire at MacRitchie...it skipped the trail...

After the run, I went to see the Unity Nature Walk ppl coming out of the trail...then it's time to rush back...gotta work at 10am!!!

Got to work a bit late thanx to Murphy's Law...had to wait 10 mins for the bus when I usually dun need to wait at all...I could take 3 buses from that stop...but all the other buses have to pass by first b4 the buses I can take comes by...one after another...isn't that great!!!

Anyway, the shop is quite peaceful today...Singapore Post Center usually serve working ppl...so it's quite expected ;) I had a script today though...but the customer nearly walked out without paying...thank god the PA got him back in time...the drug cost $87!!! Phew...

Tonight I'll be gg night cycling with a couple of friends...with my new bike...I'm so excited!!!
