Chelonia - Day 11 (8 Oct) Library opening ceremony

This mornings bfast was instant noodles and omelette
After bfast, we headed to the library...brought along some of the stuff e.g. books, torch...we intended to give TCP...

We were there a bit early for some last minute preparation…

The ceremony started with speeches by Lal, Tushan, Hang Chong, the Mendis guy...Hang Chong spoke 3 sentences of Singhala...before continuing the rest of the speech in English...translated by Lal to the locals..

Then we presented TCP with the books and torch...

After presentation, we gave out the food...aunty kalyani helped us prepared...to the children only...not enough to give everyone...hehe...so just the kids ;p

Then we played with them...taught them origami, made bubbles....

Before we left, we put our palm-print on the mural we painted...my only contribution to that mural was the palm print!!!! Oops...
Then we took some group photos...this no need Reef to take liao...hehe ;p

Lunch was at home…finishing as much food as possible

Ice cream truck came by with the paddle pop music..hehe...we all rushed out to buy ice-cream...so excited..like kids...hmm..did anyone take photo? We tend to forget to take photo when food is involved...hehe

Got a call from the scientific officer, Chanturangga to go to meet at the hut to see turtle hatchlings...so nice of him to call us down ;)
The hatchlings were so cute...he dug them out from the nest to check on their development...

Last "home-cooked" dinner...teriyaki chicken, sweet n sour prawn, spicy garlic brinjal, sambal ladies' finger, sambal fishball (by zul's mum) and pumpkin (by aunty)…yummy yummy!!!

After that…again nua…then zzzzz
