Not working today...but gg NUS to pass a letter to the Dept of Chem and then meet Cailing for lunch at AH...yay...haven't seen her for sooooo long!!!
Decided to cycle instead of taking the bus!!!
Started off at 9.30am after some ang gu kuai for breakfast...yummy!! Headed towards Whitley Rd, via Jln Bahagia, Balestier and Thomson Rd...had to cycled along PIE for a short distance to get from CJ to SJI...so dangerous...luckily there's a pretty wide shoulder ;) From Whitley Rd I turned into Bukit Timah Rd, then Farrer Rd, then Holland Rd, then South Buona Vista, and finally into Lower Kent Ridge Rd...Checkpoint 1...time check...10.30am...hmm that's how long I take to get to NUS if I take the bus!!!
Passed the letter to Dept of Chem...then off I go towards Clementi Rd...stopped at the 7-Eleven at Fong Seng to buy a bottle of isotonic drink ;) After I'm all charged up, I realized I'm too early for my lunch appointment with Ms Pay...it's only 11 plus and I'm meeting her at 2pm...how how?...hmm...just cycle to Queensway and kill time there?
Anyway, I turned into Pasir Panjang Rd...where I got a call from Unity HQ...wah...of all time when I was out cycling...hmm...I needed to fax a copy of my NRIC to them...well...where can I find a photocopier and a fax machine...SGH of course...can go there and chit chat somemore since I have so much time to kill...hehe...
So I cycled along Pasir Panjang Rd, turned into Alexandra Rd, then Bukit Merah Rd...and I'm at SGH...Checkpoint 2...time check...12 noon!!! Parked my bike at houseman canteen, and met Xiao Peiling on the way to buy her lunch...we walked back to Blk 1 together...faxed my IC, chit chatted at the pantry and oh ya...gave HR a call since I have yet to receive my last pay from SGH since I finished my pre-reg on the 16 MAY!!! They claim din know whether I'm still with SGH or not...and they din even call me to find out!!! Now they need to settle some tax clearance stuff b4 I can get my pay in abt a month's time...oh man...
Anyway, at abt 1.20pm I headed back to AH via Bukit Merah Rd...Checkpoint 3...time check...1.40pm...I'm early...shall sit at the empty pharmacy waiting area...yes..it was EMPTY...when is it ever empty at SGH...after 7pm??!! Read the Strait Times while waiting for Cailing...finally at abt 2.15pm we headed to IKEA for lunch...had my favorite Swedish meatball...and a good chat with Ms Pay ;)
After lunch, I headed back towards the East...gg to SPC to pick up the water bottle I left there last Sat...and b4 that...to Kallang SSC to pick up some goodies for volunteering in the recent Speedurance ;) Cycled along Alexandra Rd, Ganges Ave, Havelock Rd, then along the promenade at Singapore River, then the Marina Promenade...and it's Kallang SSC...after that it's along Kallang Riverside Park to Sims Ave, then Paya Lebar Rd...and it's SPC...Checkpoint 4...time check...4.30pm...wow...I'm out for 7 hours liao!!!
Picked up my water bottle and I'm headed back home...via Geylang Rd, Aljunied Rd, Macpherson Rd...and back at Serangoon and St Michael's Rd...final checkpoint...time check 5.30pm!!!
So all in all I was out for 8 hours...abt half the time spent cycling on the road...phew!!! Wonder wat's the distance I covered...maybe it's time to get a speedometer ;)
Now I'm having my yummy Jap curry and rice I cooked yesterday...Bon Apetite!!!

Wow U should come to the Netherlands. Here they have a cycling path by the side of all roads!! Which makes it dangerous for people like to walk only...haha

Cycle to The Hague? Hmm...let me try cycling back to Penang first...then to Thailand..then to China...then slowly...maybe I can get to the Hague??!!
